How we react to
tragic events, shapes us, shapes the world, and creates our
reality. Never has it been more
important for us to not leap into hateful confrontations with the
"perceived" enemy. There is
indeed a war going on here, but it is not a war between people and religions
and ideals .... It is a war between good and evil.
If we give into
"hating" we create hate and perpetuate the very thing we don't
want. If we give into fear we have
cleared the pathway for the very thing we do not want.
We live in a world
where information is manipulated, withheld and added to ... in order to further
agendas that have nothing to do with our best welfare. We cannot trust that everything we are told
or that we are "allowed" to see, represents the truth.
Discernment is our
only hope and that cannot work when we are not calm and already using the
developed gift. Discernment is about
withdrawing from the worldly influences where we are easily manipulated and
learning to trust our own "gut" or "sixth sense" about what
the truth is. It means listening and
seeing and then making our own decision about the validity of it. It is about knowing yourself and personal
responsibility. It is about survival.
There is no time to
keep shrugging and telling each other there is nothing that we can do. Every individual has to be willing to hold on
to calm sanity, to act with purpose and deliberation, to stand firm in their belief
that they matter and to teach their children the same.
Fearful people are
easily manipulated by those who stand clear in their own purposes.
Hateful people are
easily killed in the insanity they create.
This is not a
drill. This is our lives.
